Moss Piglet

Microscopic. Indestructible.

Tardigrades… perhaps you’ve heard of them? Small but mighty, they have withstood multiple extinction periods, survived boiling temperatures and even the vacuum of space. With a surprising cult following, some people call them ‘Water Bears’, others call them ‘Moss Piglets’.

Moss Piglet is an explosive portrait of the world’s most resilient and curious critters. Taking young audiences from jelly-filled petri dishes to the depths of a volcano to Arctic glaciers to the moon, the work explodes the mysteries of the wildly weird tardigrade.

Featuring wicked puppetry, choreography, live video and green screen technology, this is an epic ride of microscopic proportions.

EUPHORIC

The lights go down. Then it all begins.

Drag royalty, burlesque icons, sharp-as-a-sequin comedy and jaw-dropping dance. EUPHORIC brings Melbourne's most daring performers together for one outrageous, no-holds-barred night you will not stop talking about.

This is not dinner theatre. This is not polite applause. This is the most electric night on the calendar, loud and bold and designed for people who want to actually feel something.

Here's what our crowd had to say:

"I had such a ball last night! You guys were so entertaining. I loved every minute of it.” -  Sammy D

"I went to the Altona Show with a group of 12 friends, and every single one of us had the BEST night! The show was brilliant, can’t wait for the next one! " - Deb M

Come dressed to win. We crown a Best Dressed at every show, so unleash the sequins, stack on the feathers, lace up those heels and come ready to compete. The crowd is part of the show, and so are you.

Strictly 18+. Gloriously unapologetic. Leave your inhibitions at the door.

Gather your people. Tickets are limited and this one sells out.

Opera Australia - Don Giovanni

It’s the last day of Don Giovanni’s life, but he doesn’t know that.

For opera’s own Casanova, it’s just another day of pleasure seeking. Seducing a bride on her wedding day. Breaking into a woman’s bedroom in the dead of night. Killing her furious father

Even before the curtain rises, Mozart reveals Don Giovanni’s fate. An earth-shattering chord from the orchestra signals the gates of hell clanging open. The scoundrel’s debauched days are at an end.

Opera Australia’s National Tour returns to Gippsland Performing Art Centre with a fabulous, 1950s-inspired staging of Mozart’s dark comedic masterpiece. The production is directed by Michael Gow (writer of the seminal Australian play Away) and features a cast of some of Opera Australia’s finest singers, performing alongside a live chamber orchestra.

DIRECTOR: Michael Gow | SET & COSTUME DESIGNER: Robert Kemp | LIGHTING DESIGNER: Matthew Scott

This production is supported by The Opera Conference, Australia’s national partnership of professional opera companies, the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its arts and funding advisory body, by the NSW Government through Create NSW, and by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.

Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame

The theatrical event Gippsland has been waiting for – let the mighty bells of Notre Dame ring!

Class Act Productions proudly presents Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame – a breathtaking musical event showcasing a suberb cast of Gippsland's finest performers and featuring the soaring voices of the West Gippsland Chorale as the onstage choir and the rich, full sound of the renowned Gippsland Symphony Orchestra in the pit.

Based on Victor Hugo’s epic novel and the beloved Disney animated film, this powerful stage adaptation combines the Academy Award–nominated score you know and love with bold new songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. Peter Parnell’s script embraces the grandeur of story theatre, weaving in passages taken directly from Hugo’s gothic masterpiece.

As the mighty bells of Notre Dame ring out across fifteenth-century Paris, the deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo longs to be “Out There,” free from the grip of his cruel caretaker, the archdeacon Claude Frollo. During the riotous Feast of Fools, Quasimodo encounters the courageous and compassionate Esmeralda, whose beauty and spirit captivate not only him but also the gallant Captain Phoebus and the obsessive Frollo. When Frollo’s dark obsession turns deadly, Quasimodo must find the strength to rise against tyranny and save the innocent.

With a sweeping score, unforgettable characters, and a heart-stirring story of love, justice, and acceptance, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a theatrical experience like no other. Don’t miss this spectacular production that will leave you spellbound from the first toll of the bells to the final note.
