A fun, supportive workshop.

The Gippsland Youth Drama Workshop has been running since 1993 and in that time has produced over 100 original shows by young people for young people. This workshop will be a taste of what we do!

The workshop is designed to build theatre skills, confidence and an appreciation of what it takes to create.

Incorporating:

- theatre sports

- drama games

- basic stage technique

- improvisations, and more!

No previous acting experience required - just enthusiasm, a willingness to give it a go, and the desire to have some fun in a supportive environment.

Theatre skills are transferable into the real world, building confidence, self-esteem, creative thinking and team work.

Workshop to unlock the confidence you need to share your performance with a captive audience.

Saturday 1 October | 12PM | Little Theatre

Participants will cover a wide range of performance areas as an introduction to theatre. With an abundance of theatre groups in the local area, learn about different kinds of performance and gain access to your local theatre community.

Next Gen works with participants of all abilities and this workshop is open to participants aged 16 to 25.

This introductory workshop is designed to allow participants to work with others in their age group with similar skills and experience.

Participants will also learn core skills of acting including storytelling, voice projection and improvisation through group and solo activities using the facilities and props provided.

During this 90minute workshop, participants will practice the skills they have learnt and have the opportunity to perform for the group.

The workshop will cover:

- production processes

- improvisation

- audition tips

- performance-based games, and more!
