In accordance with sections 169 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 Latrobe City Council gives notice of its intention to grant a concession to Paper Australia Pty Ltd on the land known as the Australian Paper Mill at the discount rate of approximately 30% of the General Rate from 2020 to 2030.

The reason for the proposed concession is that the activities of Paper Australia Pty Ltd on the land known as the Australian Paper Mill assist in the proper development of the municipal district and enhance economic activity.

Submissions will be considered by Council in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and will be received until 5pm Wednesday 12 May 2021.

Submissions will be treated as public documents unless otherwise specified and will be considered at the Special Council Meeting to be held on Monday 24 May 2021. Submissions should include your contact details and whether you, or a person on your behalf, would like to speak at this meeting.
