Notice is given, pursuant to section 74 of the Local Government Act 2020, that at its meeting held 24 August 2026 Latrobe City Council resolved to make the Community Amenity Local Law 2026 applying throughout the municipal district.  

The Local Law will take effect from 5 September 2026. 

The purpose of this Local Law is to provide for: 

1. the peace, order and good government of the municipal district
2. a safe and healthy environment so that the community within the municipal district can enjoy a quality of life that meets its general expectations
3. fair access and use of Council and community assets and to prescribe measures to protect those assets
4. the prevention and suppression of nuisances which may adversely affect the enjoyment of life within the municipal district or the health, safety and welfare of persons within the municipal district
5. the prohibition, regulation and control of activities which may be dangerous or unsafe or detrimental to a person's health, the amenity of the municipal district or the environment
6. prescribed requirements for the administration and enforcement of the Local Law.

• Traralgon Service Centre, 34-38 Kay Street, Traralgon (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.15pm).
