Applications are currently open for Latrobe City Council’s Industry Growth Program. The Industry Growth Program includes 12-weeks of targeted business education, coaching and mentoring, where businesses will develop the most effective growth plan to help take them to the next level.
The program is delivered by 25eight, an award nominated leader known for driving real economic results for medium to large businesses. This program uses a proven approach to help craft the right messaging, target new clients, and focus efforts for maximum impact.
The program is ideal for owners and leaders that are committed to growing their business and aspire to leave a legacy. To maximise impact, up to two additional team members can also attend alongside the owner or business leader.
The Industry Growth Program is valued at $5,000. The program is funded by Latrobe City Council and the Victorian Government and is free for up to 15 eligible business leaders.
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman, said he encourages eligible businesses to apply to the program.
“We’ve already seen great business success stories from round one of this program, so I highly suggest applying if you can,” said the Mayor.
“The program aims to drive measurable business growth within 12 months, contribute to job creation and industry diversification, and establish a lasting support model that continues to benefit local businesses beyond the program’s completion.”
Businesses currently completing round one of the program include Your Path Counselling Pty Ltd, Traralgon Paints, The Country Tiler, CS Consulting & Design Pty Ltd.
A program participant has said the program provides a structured approach to do the critical imperative of working on your business, rather than just in the business.

Council is also supporting local businesses through the Small Business Grant – Round 2. The Opportunity Awaits Grant has a focus on diversifying the economies of the Morwell and Moe CBD’s. It aims to address vacant commercial spaces and help both existing and new businesses in the area.
