Amendment C150 (Traralgon Golf Club rezoning)

Council has endorsed the final report and supporting analysis and adopted the proposed planning amendment affecting the Traralgon Golf Club.

The amendment was informed by community feedback received earlier this year, with submissions supporting the Golf Club remaining at its current location.

The Amendment will rezone 280A and 280B Princes Street, Traralgon to Special Use Zone Schedule 9 and make subsequential changes to the Traralgon Structure Plan and Framework Plans reflecting the long-term use of the land as a golf club. In other words, the Amendment supports the Traralgon Golf Club at its present site into the future.

The Amendment will now be lodged with the Minister for Planning for approval.

Election period policy

Council will release its updated Election Period Policy for community feedback.

This policy sets out the rules Council must follow in the lead-up to an election. Proposed updates include clearer guidance on community consultation and requirements for Councillors running in State or Federal elections.

This consultation is directly relevant to Latrobe City’s economic diversification goals, particularly in the context of the scheduled closure of Yallourn W Power Station in 2028 and the need to attract replacement industries and employment.
