Placement opportunities may be available for students completing relevant early childhood, education, nursing and community services qualifications. Student placements are available for:

Maternal and Child Health nursing
Maternal and Child Health nursing offers a specialised career pathway for registered nurses and midwives interested in working with children and families.
Scholarship and study support opportunities may be available for nurses undertaking postgraduate Maternal and Child Health qualifications.

Interested in early years work experience?
Work experience can give secondary school students an opportunity to learn more about careers supporting children and families and gain an understanding of the different roles available across Early Years services.
If you are interested in undertaking work experience with Latrobe City Council:
- Speak with your school’s Careers Coordinator about your interest in an Early Years placement.
- Year 10, VET and school-based work experience placements are coordinated through the Baw Baw Latrobe Local Learning and Employment Network (BBLLEN).
- Your school or Careers Coordinator can support you to explore available placements and the requirements for participating.
