Some planning permit fees for commercial and industrial applications will be waived by Council in an effort to ease the economic and social impacts COVID-19 has had on our community.
A Special Council Meeting in June adopted a motion to waiver planning permit fees for commercial and industrial applications which are eligible for assessment under VicSmart provisions between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021.
These application types include Commercial 1 Zone applications for development projects under $500,000 and Industrial 1 Zone land applications for development projects up to $1 Million.
The type of applications expected to benefit include new buildings and extensions to existing industrial and commercial premises.
This will save applicants up to approximately $450 in application fees.
