New Car Park Spaces Coming to Seymour Street, Traralgon

Latrobe City Council have entered a Contract with Becon Constructions to design and construct an additional level of parking to the Seymour and Hotham Street Car Park which will result in up to 110 additional spaces at the facility.

This project is being delivered by Latrobe City Council on behalf of the Victorian Government through the Regional Car Parks Fund (RCPF) which is set to deliver 900 new car spaces across Traralgon, Morwell and Moe with over 150 car parks having already been delivered to date in Morwell and Moe.

Construction of the new deck will be completed in two stages, with minor works on the ground floor being required to accommodate the construction of the new deck.

  • Stage One (ground floor works): Now complete
  • Stage Two (new deck works): Mid to Late 2024

Details about each stage of works will be provided to the community in a timely manner including alternating parking arrangement for each stage of works.

Further information about this project can be found in our media release here.

Council will use a SMS registration service to keep the community informed on updates in relation to what works are occurring and any changes to car park access. Register for text alerts through Council's Have Your Say page here.
