Cr Morgan (2026)
Yallourn Ward Councillor, Steph Morgan, was first elected in 2024. Originally from northern Victoria, she has called Latrobe City home since 2021. She is a proud Morwell resident – taking every opportunity to share her love for the town and its people.

As an active volunteer and with a background in performing arts, policy development, the public sector, and community service, Cr Morgan brings a unique set of skills and broad insights into the issues and opportunities facing the municipality.

Cr Morgan envisions a vibrant, connected and community-centred Latrobe City, where safety, inclusion and accessibility are prioritised, so everyone feels welcome and can thrive.

Her priorities for Council include equitable service provision and infrastructure delivery across the city, alongside sustainable planning and development that supports Latrobe’s growing population while protecting its unique heritage assets and natural environment. Passionate about the arts, she’s a strong advocate for the local tourism sector and growing creative industries.

As the region’s economy and identity transition, Cr Morgan is focused on attracting diverse industries, advocating for fair outcomes, strengthening community resilience, and amplifying underrepresented local voices in decision-making..
