Setting up a MyGov account

1. Search ‘myGov’ on your internet browser and choose ‘Create a myGov account’ (on the right hand side of the screen.
2. Agree to the terms of use
3. Enter your email address
4. Enter the code sent to your email address
5. Enter your mobile number
6. Enter the code sent to your mobile number
7. Create a password
8. Select three secret questions to keep your account secure
9. Your account is now created and ready to use

1. Log in to your myGov account
2. Scroll down to ‘your services’ and click the + icon to link your first service. If you have already linked a service, go to step 3. Your name must match the previously linked service
3. Select Medicare
4. Agree to the terms of use
5. Have your Medicare card ready. Select ‘I’m listed on a Medicare card’. You can use a linking code but this must be received over the phone or at a service centre
6. Enter your Medicare card number without gaps
7. Enter the number against your name on the card
8. Enter your name and address details
9. Answer the questions to prove your identity.
10. Select Next. Your Medicare account is now linked to your myGov.

1. Log in to your myGov account
2. Select Medicare under ‘Services’
3. Click on ‘View Proof’ in the ‘Proof of Vaccinations’ icon
4. Click ‘View History’
5. Click ‘View COVID-19 digital certificate’ to see/download/store a PDF version

1. Visit the Apple Store (for iPhones/Apple devices) or the Play Store (for Android) and download Express Plus Medicare
2. Open the App
3. Select Sign in
4. Read and accept the terms of use
5. Enter your myGov log in details
6. Create or use your myGov PIN

If you do not have access to an online platform to download or link your certificate, you can ask their vaccination provider to print a certificate. Alternatively, contact the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Download the Service Victoria app from either the Apple store of the Play Store. You do not need an account.

1. Open the App and tap ‘immunisation history’
2. Tap ‘share certificate’
3. Tap ‘share with Service Victoria’
4. Read and accept the terms and conditions
5. Tap ‘add certificate’
6. Your digital COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate is now linked to your Service Victoria app

1. Make sure your app is updated
2. Open the App and tap ‘add certificate via myGov’
3. Log in to your myGov account
4. Scroll to proof of COVID vaccination
5. Tap ‘go to Medicare’
6. Tap ‘share with check-in app’
7. Select Service Victoria
8. Read and accept the terms and conditions
9. Tap ‘add certificate’
10. Your digital COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate is now linked stored in your Service Victoria check-in app
