Morwell Library is Going Cashless

What’s happening?

From 1 August, Morwell Library will go cashless. This means we will not be able to process any cash payments for any Council service or account. You will still be able to pay using EFTPOS.

Why cashless?

Unlike other towns, Morwell Library is not co-located with a Council Service Centre. While our team can process Council accounts and respond to your customer service enquiries, we are not resourced to handle large cash transactions.

Can I pay by EFTPOS or credit card?

Yes. We can process accounts by EFTPOS or credit card. There is no minimum amount required.

Where can I pay my bill if I only have cash?

To pay your Council account by cash, please visit our Corporate Headquarters building in Commercial Road, Morwell. It is a short, five minute walk or drive.

What about library service fees?

If you are a library member, you can add money to your membership card to pay for services like photocopying or printing.

If you are a library visitor, there is a temporary card you can use.
