You're invited to a heartwarming community concert that celebrates a year of creativity, learning, and live music.
Whether you're a regular concertgoer or simply looking for an uplifting afternoon out, this event is for everyone. The Latrobe Orchestra and ensembles from our Beginner Strings Program take to the stage to perform an exciting and entertaining program.
Highlights include two moving pieces by local Gippsland composer Dani Maree Ashmore, a powerful performance of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, and a fun and imaginative musical retelling of the famous 1870 paddle steamer race on the Mississippi River — complete with unexpected and colourful sound effects using everyday household items, and including all 80 members on stage.
Perfect for families, friends, and anyone who enjoys a good story told through music.
