Lavalla Catholic College proudly presents ‘High School the NON Musical’; an original play written by Katie Lee.

Capital High School is about to put on its annual Musical Production, but Drama teacher and Director Helena Bixby, has something new in mind! She’s written her own original Musical for this year’s show, called - ‘The Shakespeare Spectacular! A Broadway original reimagining of the Brilliant Bard!’

Her directing team consists of fellow teachers – Ms Dellfire, Ms Hibbert and Mr Murtle – all of whom have no experience or simply no interest in the performing arts!

Her cast of crazy and eccentric students can’t seem to remember their scripts, their dialogue or their choreography! Not to mention, their total lack of talent and experience make each rehearsal complete pandemonium.

All this whilst dealing with discouraging students from the nearby private school, a Principal determined to cut their budget, a disappearing Stage Manager, and a basketball team of bullies – will this production ever make it to opening night?!

Featuring music from several pop icons, including: Whitney Houston, Sheryl Crow, NSYNC, Natalie Imbruglia and Barbara Streisand, this comedy performance reveals the chaos and craziness of what it’s really like trying to put on a High School Musical.
