Dead Man’s Treasure! A Swashbuckling Pirate Tale!

This is a comedy for the whole family!

The pirates of the Caribbean have gathered for a parlay to discuss the once in a lifetime opportunity of finding the lost treasure of the Pirates of Penzance, but only through cooperating and sharing their individual portions of the map, will they actually find Dead Man’s Island!

Many obstacles stand in their way, none more so than the revenge-driven Kraken, who has a plan to enact her vengeance upon all the pirates that cursed her to the abyss.

Also on the island, are a group of shipwrecked feral schoolgirls, in the mould of “Lord of the Flies”, who may hamper the pirate’s quest to find the treasure.

Twisting well-known book and movie characters, and flipping their stories, this tale could end anywhere, but probably not where you expect!  

The Gippsland Youth Drama Workshop produces 2 original shows each year, with the ideas, characters and themes coming from the young stars, who then build their show to an entertaining performance.
