There are two main ways to pay your rates:
- Pay in full by 15 February 2017.
- Pay in 4 instalments – First payment must be made by 30 September 2016.
Smaller, more frequent instalments can also be made on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis by Direct Debit. Obtain a Direct Debit Request form below.

If you are having difficulty paying on time, please ensure you contact the Property and Rates team as soon as possible to arrange a payment plan and avoid additional charges.
How to pay
Pay 24 hours a day:
- by phone or internet via your phone or online banking portal; or
- sign up to BPAY View via your online banking portal to receive your Rates Notice online

Arrange automatic deductions from your bank account by completing the Direct Debit request form enclosed with your Rates Notice, or download an application(DOC, 142KB) and return the completed and signed form to Council by mail, in person, or by email.
To cancel an existing direct debit arrangement, please submit a request to Council. Please note that processing of your Direct Debit cancellation may take up to 10 working days from the date of receipt of your request. Refer to the Direct Debit Terms and Conditions.
At any Latrobe City Council Service Centre or Library, or any Australia Post outlet.
Detach the slip from your Rates Notice and send with cheque payment to:

Arrange regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. To establish a Centrepay arrangement, contact Centrelink or set up Centrepay via your myGov account.
Ensure you have your Centrelink Reference Number, as well as Council’s Centrelink Reference Number (which is 555 070 553H)
