The Small Business Toolkit is now available for download.  This toolkit contains information on a range of topics applicable to small businesses, from starting up, to actioning growth plans.  Developed by Latrobe City this resource is targeted to assist the growth of our local business sector.

Planning Guide for Business

The Planning Guide for Business(PDF, 687KB) (pdf, 687kb) outlines the planning permit process, and the course to be followed when applying for planning permits for a business or industrial activity in Latrobe City. It is designed to assist prospective or existing businesses when applying for a planning permit.

Victorian Small Business Commissioner

The Victorian Small Business Commissioner operates a fair business environment for small business in Victoria. They assist businesses to resolve disputes, conduct mediations, and provide assistance at no costs or minimal cost to businesses.

Tax Assistance

The ATO provides free webinars (online seminars) on a variety of topics delivered by experienced tax officers. The webinars cover thirteen different modules including introduction to tax basics, income tax deductions, home based businesses, small business concessions, activity statement essentials, goods and services tax, budgeting and record keeping, super obligations, contractor issues, depreciation, employer obligations, and motor vehicle deductions.
