Latrobe City Council have received further advise by the Department of Health, that a positive coronavirus (COVID-19) patron who attended Latrobe Leisure Morwell attended the Leisure Centre on additional days.
The affected patron attended Latrobe Leisure Morwell on three occasions, with the Department of Health advising of additional dates this morning:
Wednesday 13 October, 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Thursday 14 October, 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Friday 15 October, between 6.15pm – 7.45pm
We understand that this will be concerning for members and patrons, who attended the Leisure Centre and to our staff. Since being advised of the patron’s attendance, through good internal tracing processes, management has contacted members, patrons and staff who accessed and worked at Latrobe Leisure Morwell, during the identified dates and times.
As a precautionary measure, in line with COVIDSafe practices, appropriate deep cleaning was conducted at the Leisure Centre yesterday, Wednesday 20 October.
The safety of members, patrons and staff is management’s number one priority. Management advise that the situation is contained and is being managed by the Department of Health.
We encourage members, patrons and staff to remain vigilant – monitor for symptoms and get tested if symptoms present.
