About the Book - Chloé

Katrina Kell's forthcoming historical novel Chloé was inspired by one of Australia's most iconic paintings. Painted by Jules Joseph Lefebvre in 1875, Chloe has graced the walls of Melbourne's Young and Jackson since 1909. This riveting novel is based on the true story of the brave, enigmatic young woman who modelled for the famous painting.

Taking the reader from Victoria's wild shipwrecked coast to the artists' studios of revolutionary Paris and the bloody battlefields of Flanders, this sweeping novel reimagines the volatile history of the young woman on the canvas.
