Council meetings occur generally on the first Monday of the month at 6pm in the Nambur Wariga Meeting Room, Corporate Headquarters, Morwell. Council meetings are open to our community (except when required to be closed to discuss confidential items).
Council Meetings During COVID-19 Pandemic
In response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the State government has recently introduced temporary measures that allow for virtual Council meetings to be conducted. The change to legislation ensures the safe continuation of local government decision-making for both Councillors and the community.
In light of this, for the foreseeable future, Council will hold Council meetings in a way that allows for in-person and/or virtual attendance, as is needed for the current COVID-19 situation.
The community is at the forefront of our decisions. As such we have implemented additional means to enable public participation whilst adhering to the advice of health and government agencies relating to COVID-19. These details can be found in the ‘Get involved’ section.
The Council meetings will continue to be live streamed and can be viewed by following the link on Council’s website or Facebook page.
