Coronavirus and Maternal and Child Health, Immunisations and Kindergarten Services

Our Early Learning Centres will be operating as normal.

We ask that if families are unwell or have been exposed to COVID-19 or travelled overseas, to please contact the respective services prior to attending.

We have made a decision to not operate face to face supported playgroups, Triple P Parenting programs and New Parent Groups for the immediate future and we will be in contact with families to inform them of an alternative option to be able to continue these programs in a safe environment. This may include an online or virual program.

Immunisation

Community Immunisation Sessions are still operating with bookings required.

Please note that we are not holding sessions in Churchill or Glengarry at the moment, these times have been merged with Morwell and Traralgon to allow for more appointments.

If you do need to pay for your flu shot, we are only accepting card payments at the session.

All scheduled vaccines on the National Immunisation Program are provided free of charge for infants and Secondary school children.

Please bring your Medicare card and child’s health book, along with previous history of vaccinations, to the immunisation session.

Kindergarten Services

All Latrobe City Kindergarten and Prekinder programs will be operating throughout Stage three restrctions.

We do  ask that if families are unwell or have been exposed to COVID-19 or travelled overseas, to please contact the respective services prior to attending.

Maternal and Child Health

In line with the Victorian Government direction, to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) program will continue to provide services to families via telephone consultations. Families with upcoming appointments will be contacted directly about this change.

Where families require face to face consultations, these will be limited to 15 minute appointments and will be arranged in consultation with your Maternal and Child Health Nurse.

All drop-in sessions will cease until further notice.
