Latrobe Libraries and Coronavirus

All Latrobe City Libraries will be closed at close of business Tuesday, 24 March 2020 until further notice, due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

Borrowing from the Library

During this time, all borrowing of physical loans will be suspended.

If you have items due for return within this period, your due date will automatically be extended for a period of six weeks.

You can return items to the branch external chutes. Borrowers who feel unwell should keep their items until they feel better. Remember we don’t charge overdue fines and you can renew items online if you are able. You can also contact your local branch directly by phone for assistance.

Any current holds on items will not be available during the temporary closure period.

Digital Resources

All our digital resources continue to be available to library members while the library branches are closed.

Your library membership allows you access to a range of library e-services including:

  • e-books, e-magazines, audio books and other reading material
  • movie streaming
  • research and learning resources
  • Kids Zone

Library Events and Programs

All library programs and events are cancelled/postponed from 5pm Friday 20 March until further notice. This includes regular children’s and adult events and programs, author talks, and the upcoming school holiday activities.
