Computers and internet
We offer free computer and internet access at all Latrobe City Libraries. Printing, USBs and head phones, must be paid for.
You need to have a valid library membership and agree to accept our guidelines to use these services.
How to book a computer
You must book to use the library's computers.
You can book a computer:
- in person
- phoning 1300 367 700
- at any of the public access catalogues in the libraries
Bookings can be made up to a week in advance. A member may hold only one booking per day.
Software installed includes selected office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
You can book a computer for thirty minutes or one hour blocks.
You have ten minutes to log onto your computer from the time it is booked. If you do not log in within 10 minutes of your scheduled booking time, your booking will automatically be cancelled.
You can bring your own laptop or iPad and connect to our free Wi-Fi service during library opening hours. Ask staff for a user name and PIN to connect to Wi-Fi . There is no printing available through the Wi-Fi system
Library staff may not be trained or experienced in all services and programs available. We may be able to provide basic help and assist in troubleshooting problems but cannot provide one-to-one tuition in the use of the computer, your laptop or the internet.
