International Power Traffic School

Latrobe City’s International Power Traffic School is evolving into a broader reaching community facility with energetic support from International Power, VicRoads and Vic Police driving its expanded use.

The Traffic Schools location has a high profile and it enjoys considerable support from community, industry and local business. It is an ideal venue for children’s birthday parties, special events and community meetings.

Education & Saftey

The traffic School provides a safe and controlled environment to promote safer road user behavior for children from a young age (largely 3 to 13 years old) with the aim of reducing the potential risk of injury to children and to save lives.

It also helps equip children to practice safety in their community and is an integral part of the annual curriculum for many schools and pre schools, utilising the surrounding park land and residential roadways as well as the facilities within its boundaries.

Health & Wellbeing

The traffic safety focus will be maintained but new programs with a health and wellbeing focus will be introduced to help increase the amount of physical activity within all age groups and abilities.

Many of the programs are generated by enthusiastic community volunteers. New initiatives are being developed such as scooter education, a falls prevention program for older people including Tai Chi, and increasing access for the vision impaired.

Located off Prices Drive in Morwell, the Traffic school is an ideal venue for children’s birthday parties, special events and community meetings.
