Pension Concession

Pensioners may be entitled to a rebate of rates in respect to their principle place of residence.

Application forms are available at the Council Offices. Pensioners who received a rate rebate last year may not need to re-apply.

Application for pensioners' rate remission close on 30 June each rating year.

The pension rebate scheme is a Victorian Government initiative which is administered by Council. To be eligible for the $193.40 rebate you may claim for your principle place of residence, you must be the ratepayer and you must have one of the following cards.

• Centrelink Pension Concession Card
• Veterans Affairs Pension Card
• Veterans Affairs Gold Card - War Widow
• Veterans Affairs Gold Card - TPI

Other cards such as the Health Care Card and Seniors Card DO NOT qualify for the rebate.
