Public Immunisation Sessions Locations

For your convenience Latrobe City Council conducts 8 public immunisation sessions per month at different venues throughout the municipality. 3 sessions are in the morning, 2 are in the afternoon and 3 are in the evening. No appointment is necessary. The locations and times for all immunisation sessions for 2009 are detailed in the 2009 Immunisation Schedule.

School Entry Immunisation Certificate

To enrol your child for school, you will need a School Entry Immunisation Certificate. A complete certificate can only be issued on completion of all the scheduled infant immunisation up to and including the 4 year old immunisation.

You will automatically receive a history statement from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) after your child has completed the 4 year old vaccine schedule if all immunisations are completed prior to 5 years of age. It should state at the bottom of the page "This child has received all vaccines required by five years of age".  If it does, this history statement becomes a school entry immunisation certificate. If you have not received, or have lost, your history statement call ACIR on 1800 653 809.

School Immunisation Program

Latrobe City Council also provide yearly school immunisation sessions for Year 7 students to immunise against Hepatitis B, Chickenpox (Varilrix) and Human Papillomavirus (Gardisil) and Year 10 students against Diphtheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough (Boostrix).

Immunisation History

Individual immunisation histories can now be obtained from Latrobe City Coucil if the client has been immunised with Latrobe City Council as an infant or through our school immunisation program. We cannot obtain histories for clients that were immunised with their local doctor. To obtain an immunisation history please complete an Immunisation History Application Form and return it to one of our Service Centres along with the appropriate fee.

Workplace Immunisation

Latrobe City Council provides immunisation on site at workplaces for ten or more staff. The cost is dependant upon the number and type of immunisations required. Please call Health Services on 1300 367 700 for more information.
