Bees and Wasps

European wasps and bees can cause major concern, especially during the warmer months of the year. Responsibility for eradication of nests depends on whether the nest is located on Latrobe City Council land or on private property.

Latrobe City Council property

European wasp nests and bees nests located on Latrobe City Council land and properties can be reported to Latrobe City Council, who will arrange for the treatment and eradication of the nests as soon as possible.

Private property

Nests located on private property are the responsibility of the owner or tenant, who must either arrange to have the nest treated by a pest controller or treat the nest themselves.
