All families seeking care for their children want the very best. Placing your child in care is a big decision and you need to feel confident that your children are being cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.
Latrobe City Council operates two (2) long day care centres:
Staff are the long day care's main asset and a high priority is given to employing the very best.
It is a State licensing requirement that a proportion of staff must hold formal qualifications while other staff are employed on the basis of relevant experience in childcare and the development of children. As part of the screening process, staff are required to undergo security checks.
Both the Latrobe City Long Day Care centres are licensed to operate under the State Children's Services Act 1996 and Children's Services Regulations 1998.
The license specifies:
Carinya and Moe Early Learning centres are registered and participate in the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System (QIAS) which ensures that the centres meet stringent quality assessments to maintain accreditation.
