Latrobe City Community Planning & Wellbeing Committee

Latrobe City has established an Integrated Community Planning and Wellbeing Committee (ICP&WBC). The Health and Wellbeing elements of Latrobe 2021 Strategy provide the planning framework with which this group operates.

The role of the ICP&WBC is:

To actively support processes aimed at maximising communication and coordinating activities to improve wellbeing.
To develop a common planning model, language and timetable to guide community wellbeing planning processes across Latrobe City.
To ensure that evidence based (qualitative and quantitative) community needs are the key drivers of collaborative integrated planning.
To actively support and empower workers, service users and community members to participate in planning processes and networks.
To share data, skills and resources wherever possible, including supporting the establishment of common data sets.
To work collaboratively with others to meet needs in more creative and efficient ways, and to advocate for improved resources and outcomes for those who are most disadvantaged.

Central West Gippsland Division of General Practice
Victoria Police
VicRoads
Department of Human Services
Department of Health
Department of Planning and Community Development
Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
Representatives of Children and Families Network, Youth Network, Older Persons Network, Community and Non Government Agencies.

The Committee meets at least four times per calendar year, during normal business hours.
