Detox your Home mobile collection

Detox your Home – an annual, safe, free and easy-to-use service to dispose of common highly toxic household chemicals without harming your health or the environment.

When: Saturday 17 February, 2018
Time: 9am to 2pm
Where: Latrobe City Council Headquarters car park, 141 Commercial Road, Morwell

Some of these products could explode, ignite, leak or mix with other chemicals and could harm you, your children and your pets. Collected items are recycled for recovery and diverted from landfill.

Do the right thing for your loved ones and your environment. It’s easy, and it’s free.

What can I bring?

Visit the Detox your Home website for a full list of accepted and non- accepted items. You can bring as many items as you like, so long as each container is less than 20 litres or 20 kilograms.

This mobile service is designed specifically to collect unwanted household chemicals. Less toxic items such as paint, household batteries, fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lamps are no longer accepted at mobile collections but can be disposed of throughout the year at the ‘Permanent Drop-Off Site’ at the Morwell Transfer Station at no cost, 7 days per week.

Detox your Home is a free service for all Victorian householders. It is administered by Sustainability Victoria in partnership with local councils and funded by the Victorian landfill levy.

Simply turn up on the day with your unwanted items and the trained Detox your Home team will do the rest. Visit the Detox your Home website or phone 1300 363 744
