Works currently being carried out (weather permitting) include:

Road Closure - Tarwin Street at Morwell between Elgin Street and Wallace Street

Residents and businesses are advised that Tarwin Street will be closed between Elgin Street and Wallace Street due to Stage 2 of the upcoming road works commencing this week. McLean Street will be open to allow through traffic to continue their commute.

When and for how long?
The closure is expected to start on Thursday 16 March 2017, and will remain for around for six weeks. Detours will be put in place during the works. Access will be maintained for local residents.

  • What works will be undertaken?
  • reconstruction of the road pavement
  • replacement of driveway vehicle crossings
  • construction of underground drainage and subsoil drainage
  • improved street lighting
  • installation of appropriate street trees
  • parallel on street parking
  • removal and replacement of concrete kerb and channel
  • construction of a raised median with a turnaround
  • resurfacing of the road pavement with a hot mix asphalt overlay

Road closure - Marshalls Road at Traralgon between Park Lane and Lighthorse Avenue

Residents are advised that Marshalls Road will be closed between Park Lane and Lighthorse Avenue for road works.

When and for how long?
The closure is expected start on Thursday 16 March 2017 and remain for around  ten to 12 weeks. Detours will be put in place during the works. Access will be maintained for local residents.

Disability Parking Bay Construction, George Street , Moe

 

Residents are advised that due to construction of disability parking bays on George Street Moe at the Moore Street intersection, that part closure and traffic management on George Street will occur during modification works.

When and for how long?

The modification works are expected to start early-March 2017 and take three weeks to complete.  Alternative routes are advised during the construction of the works.

What works will be undertaken?

  • removal and replacement of concrete kerb and channel
  • construction of a indented parking bays
  • construction of ramped pathway crossings
  • reconstruction of the road pavement

Construction of a roundabout at Moe

 

Intersection of Fowler and Vale Streets Residents are advised that the intersection of Fowler and Vale Streets will be closed during the construction of a roundabout.

When and for how long?

The works are expected to start mid-to-late March 2017 and take 12 weeks to complete. Access will be maintained for local residents. Detours will be put in place during the construction of the works.

What works will be undertaken?

  • construction of a roundabout
  • new slip lanes along the Fowler Street service road
  • reconstruction of the road pavement
  • construction of underground drainage and subsoil drainage
  • removal and replacement of concrete kerb and channel
  • resurfacing of the road pavement with a hot mix asphalt overlay
