All My Love

Tuesday 17 April at 8pm

Their lives could have been written so differently: the story of Henry Lawson and Mary Gilmore’s lost love. Henry Lawson was one of the nation’s favourite writers and poets. His contemporary, Mary Gilmore, was a literary icon and radical socialist. Both were heroes of Australian literature; both were the face of Australia’s currency... and both were the victims of a deception that thwarted their future as a couple.

Hello, Beautiful!

Saturday 12 May at 2pm

Hello, Beautiful! is a funny, big-hearted, one-woman show performed by one of Australia’s best-loved playwrights. Based on her best-selling memoir, Hello, Beautiful! brings you a 60-minute piece of sublime comic storytelling – true stories from an adventurous life, spiced with wit, tenderness, social observation, and intimacy.  Rayson takes you from the East Brighton of her childhood to the treacheries of Hollywood, from share-houses in Fitzroy to the beauties of rural Australia. Rayson’s life and writing has always been driven by her deep curiosity about contemporary Australian life: how we live and what matters to us – the political and ethical challenges we face.  Both as a playwright and columnist for magazines and newspapers, she has an ear for the ways we speak and a knack for understanding how our inner lives affect our public selves. You’ll be struck with many “OMG that happened to me” moments, and feel as if you’ve been listening to stories told by your new best friend.

Menopause the Musical, Women on Fire!

Friday 2 November at 8pm

Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra on sale, come to find they have more to share than ever imagined. The cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realise that Menopause is no longer “the silent passage”, but a stage in every woman’s life, which is perfectly normal!   Men love it too! This hilarious musical parody staged to classic tunes from the '60s, '70s and '80s will have you cheering and dancing in the aisles!
It’s the hilarious celebration of women and “the change”.
