The program prides itself on the delivery of workshops, activities and programs for primary and secondary schools in Latrobe City; offering an opportunity to engage in learning experiences outside of their school community and explore performing and visual arts in a variety of ways.

Latrobe Performing Arts Exhibition Space

This program offers an opportunity for primary and secondary schools to exhibit classroom art work at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre.

National Film & Sound Archive School Screen Program

Latrobe Performing Arts, in partnership with the National Film and Sound Archive, presents free Australian films for primary and secondary schools. Schools are emailed dates and films on offer. To find out more contact Eloisa Tripodi at eloisa.tripodi@latrobe.vic.gov.au.  

Latrobe Performing Arts Education VCE Programs

Latrobe Performing Arts offers VCE students a variety of programs, including the Drama Victoria Unit 4 Exam preparation day and The Beyond the Classroom initiative that cater for VCE Visual Arts and Drama students.

The Beyond the Classroom program offers VCE students from all schools within Latrobe City who study art, studio art, visual communication, drama, theatre studies and dance in their VCE curriculum the opportunity to exhibit their work and to perform as part of the opening.

The opening is held in February and is a celebration of the diverse young talent that Latrobe City hosts. The students selected to exhibit work and perform are encouraged to invite family, friends, teachers and supporters to help them celebrate what they have achieved to this point and their future goals and dreams.

NB Students must be available to attend the opening to be accepted into this program.

Latrobe Performing Arts Educators Professional Development

Latrobe Performing Arts Education program provides teachers with networking connections, professional development opportunities and classroom teaching support in the form of workshops, meetings, performance viewing opportunities and classroom visits. To find out more contact Eloisa Tripodi at eloisa.tripodi@latrobe.vic.gov.au.
