InfoTrac OneFile
InfoTrac OneFile provides access to periodical and news information on a diverse set of topics, including humanities, education, business, science, current events, art, politics, economics, social science, law, and general interest topics. It also includes Choice Magazine.
Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre
This database includes leading Australia/NZ periodicals and international periodicals in full text; full text reference books; as well as newspapers such as The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, The Sunday Age and transcripts from the ABCs leading current affairs TV and radio programs.
Trove Digital Newspapers.
This free site allows access to historic Australian newspapers digitised as part of the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program. This site now includes searchable access to full text to many newspapers across Australia including Capital dailies, as well as regional and local titles. Gippsland newspapers are well represented and include the Traralgon Record, the Morwell Advertiser and the Gippsland Times.
Tip in using Trove : use Advanced Search if you want to limit your search to a specific newspaper title or a range of newspapers - for example a newspaper from a specific town or a particular state.
You can also limit your search to News, Family Notices and Sporting Results.
Online Index to the Argus Newspaper
The Argus was a Melbourne Melbourne Metropolitan daily published between 1846 to 1957. This index is an exciting adjunct to Australian Historical Newspapers which includes full text of the Argus from 1946 to 1954.
