Have Your Say on Draft Strength Led Transition

About the project

Since the development and adoption of the original Strength-Led Transition in November 2016, Council and the community, have been working hard and have developed Draft Strength Led Transition 2.0(PDF, 2MB).

The Draft Strength Led Transition 2.0(PDF, 2MB) builds on the work of the original document and maintains the integrity of the initial platform and recognises the desires, hopes, ideas and aspirations of the community moving forward.

Three forums were held in late March 2018, the objectives of which were to check-in on progress to date and to seek input to refresh the document. Over 100 people attended the forums, plus Councillors.

The Draft Strength Led Transition 2.0(PDF, 2MB) includes a range of strategic, Council, industry and community priorities such as

  • Wellness
  • Transport Connections
  • Building economic resilience
  • Liveability
  • Economic growth
  • Community based initiative

These priorities have been identified as investment opportunities and catalysts for action. Some of these will be led by Council, but importantly many will be led by the community, industry and business, State and Federal Governments as well as the not-for-profit sector.

Review the Draft Strength Led Transition 2.0(PDF, 2MB) also available for viewing during office hours at any of Council’s service centres in Traralgon, Morwell, Moe or Churchill.
