Have Your Say on Draft 2019/20 Budget

About the project

Latrobe City Council has released the 2019/20 Draft Budget(PDF, 931KB) and Draft Rating Strategy 2019/20(PDF, 6MB), and is seeking feedback from the community.

Highlights and points to note:

  • General rates increase restricted to 2.5% in line with the State Government cap.  
  • The garbage charge has increased by 2.3% or $8.50, including the EPA levy.
  • A four year strategic plan has been developed to aid Council in achieving its strategic objectives while reaching financial sustainability.

The 2019/20 Draft Budget(PDF, 931KB) and Draft Rating Strategy 2019/20(PDF, 6MB) are available for review at all Council Service Centres in Moe, Churchill, Morwell and Traralgon.

Latrobe City Council will hold Community Information Session on Monday 8 April from 6pm to 7.30pm, at the Nambur Wariga Room, Latrobe City Council Headquarters 141 Commercial Road Morwell.

Submissions will be treated as public documents unless otherwise specified and will be considered at the Special Council Meeting to be held at 6pm on Monday 13 May 2019 at Latrobe City Council Headquarters, 141 Commercial Road Morwell. Submissions should include your contact details and whether you, or a person on your behalf, would like to speak at this meeting.

Submissions will be close Wednesday 1 May, 5pm.
