Crinigan Bushland Reserve & Committee of Management
Crinigan Bushland Reserve is a 43 ha reserve on the outskirts of Morwell, adjoining Maryvale Private Hospital, which contains a significant patch of remnant native vegetation. The primary objectives of the Reserve are to conserve and enhance existing biodiversity assets and provide for quality passive recreation opportunities for local residents and the local community. Edward Hunter Heritage Bush Reserve & Committee of Management
Edward Hunter Heritage Bush Reserve is a 56 ha reserve located on Coalville Road in Moe, which contains a significant patch of remnant native vegetation. The reserve is primarily used by walkers, bicycle riders and horse riders. Eric Lubcke Yarra Gum Conservation Reserve
Eric Lubcke Yarra Gum Conservation Reserve is a small 3ha reserve near the end of Maryvale Crescent in Morwell. The reserve was established in 1992 with the aim of conserving the Eucalyptus yarraensis (Yarra Gum) population it contains, which is one of only four populations in Gippsland. The reserve also provides protection to the Nationally Endangered Dianella amoena (Matted Flax-lily). Ollerton Avenue Bushland Reserve & Committee of Management
Ollerton Avenue Bushland Reserve is a 12 ha patch of very significant bushland located in Newborough It contains two plant species of State significance, the Slender Caladenia and Green Scentbark. The reserve is primarily used for passive recreation. Traralgon Creek Neighbourhood Environment Improvement Plan
The Traralgon Creek Neighbourhood encompasses the entire catchment of the Traralgon Creek. It is home to the people of Traralgon South and Traralgon, and is used by many others who work, play or manage land in the area. The Improvement Plan has been endorsed by the State Minister for Environment and its objectives are to:
• Improve the health of the Traralgon Creek catchment and surrounding land use;
• Improve the community access and use of the Traralgon Creek catchment;
• Enhance understanding, communication, partnerships and co-ordination within the Traralgon Creek catchment community;
• Improve respect of the catchment within the community; and to
• Promote the Traralgon Creek catchment activities so as to value add and attract funding and support.

Morwell River Neighbourhood Environment Improvement Plan
The Morwell River Neighbourhood includes the entire length of the Morwell River and its tributaries, and is home to a mixture of urban dwellers in the larger centres of Morwell and Churchill and rural communities of Boolarra, Yinnar, Boolarra South and Yinnar South. The Improvement Plan has been endorsed by the State Minister for Environment and its objectives are to:
• To improve water quality of the river and its tributaries;
• To build links and partnerships in the community between government agencies, industries, landowners and residents;
• To create an educated community, informed about environmental issues related to the Morwell River catchment;
• To improve facilities for recreation and tourism within the Morwell River Catchment; and to
• To provide a plan that supports the objectives of biodiversity management in Victoria and in particular the Gippsland Plain Bioregion and the Latrobe Landscape Zone.
