Potential Sale/Lease of Land: Tramway Road Morwell Gippsland Logistics Precinct

Latrobe City Council gives notice of its intention pursuant to Sections 189 and Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 to consider the sale and/or lease of the whole or part of the Gippsland Logistics Precinct by private treaty.

The Gippsland Logistics Precinct site is made up of two distinct but integrated components:

• A 7.5 hectare site (zoned PUZ4 within the Latrobe Planning Scheme) immediately adjacent to the main Gippsland Line between Princes Freeway and Tramway Road, Morwell known as the Gippsland Intermodal Freight Terminal.
• A 64 hectare area of land (zoned INZ1 within the Latrobe Planning Scheme) immediately adjacent to the GIFT and also located between the Princes Freeway and Tramway Road behind the Mid Valley Shopping Centre.

Council invites public comment concerning the sale and/or lease of the Gippsland Logistics Precinct by private treaty. Written submissions addressed to the undersigned, Latrobe City Council, PO Box 264, Morwell 3840 should be received by Sunday, 5 August 2018 and state if the person or a person acting on their behalf wishes to speak in support of the submission.

Submissions received will be considered at a future Council Meeting in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act. 

Please note, that all submissions will be considered public documents unless specified otherwise by the submitter. 

All persons providing a written submission will be advised of the Council Meeting date and invited to attend.
