Latrobe City Council 2019/2020 Draft Budget and Draft Rating Strategy 2019-20

Latrobe City Council’s Draft Budget for 2019/20 includes investment in a raft of generational assets to support population growth and enhanced liveability now and into the future.
The document is available to the community and Council is accepting public submissions until Wednesday 1 May.
Community members wanting to be active in the process and engage with Councillors and senior officers will have an opportunity to discuss their interests and issues at a Community Information Session.
The 2019/2020 Draft Budget and Draft Rating Strategy are both available for inspection online and in all Council libraries and Service Centres.
Council’s significant capital works program continues with works exceeding $117M, including projects like the construction of the pavilion for cricket and football at Traralgon’s Catterick Crescent, construction of a new footbridge over Water Hole Creek at Crinigan Road Morwell, and continued progression of the Morwell Recreation Reserve, Monash Reserve Pavilion and Courts, Latrobe Creative Precinct, Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre, Traralgon Sports Stadium and the cricketing centre of excellence at Ted Summerton Reserve Moe
Council will also continue to deliver a host of other major upgrades, reconstructions and asset improvement works around the municipality.
Written submissions will be considered in accordance with section 233 of the Local Government Act 1989 and will be received up until 5pm on Wednesday 1 May 2019. Submissions can be lodged at the following:
