Find out how to save on solar installation with Gippy Bulk Buy

Posted on 28 June 2018

Residents in Latrobe City can find out how to save on solar installation by attending a series of information sessions to explain Gippy Bulk Buy, a solar program organised through the Latrobe Valley Community Power Hub. The scheme offers residents and businesses discounts on solar supplies, harnessing the power of bulk buying.

Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said that the scheme offered consumers choice about how to access energy to the home or business premises.

“We know that solar power has seen a significant uptake over the past few years and whilst there have been government incentives for installation, the power of bulk-buying is proving to be more cost-effective now. Attending an information session will allow you to see if solar installation is right for your home or business,” Cr White said.

All products have been sourced from a Melbourne supplier but installation will be carried out by local companies.

Cr White added that Gippy Bulk Buy was auspiced by the Yarra Energy Foundation, whose representatives would be available at the information sessions to answer any questions.

“It’s a great time to find out more about the solar program and join together to enjoy the benefits of bulk buying,” Cr White concluded.
