Statistical Information

With a population of 73,982, the vibrant and highly productive Latrobe Valley is located at the gateway to Gippsland in south-east Victoria. Latrobe City is a large regional city which is centrally located in eastern Victoria, approximately 135 kilometres (85 miles) east of Melbourne or around 70 minutes along the dual carriageway on the Princes Freeway.

The City has four major centres located at Churchill, Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, as well as a number of smaller outlying townships of Boolarra, Callignee, Driffield, Glengarry, Newborough, Toongabbie, Traralgon South, Tyers, Yallourn North and Yinnar. Latrobe City encompasses an area of some 1,422 square kilometres.
