The nine (9) councillors meet as a Council on the first and third Monday of each month (January may be excluded). Meetings start at 7:00pm and, save for some parts of each meeting and some special meetings, they are open to the public and media. All Council meetings are held at the Nambur Wariga Meeting Room, Corporate Headquarters, Morwell. Notice of Council meetings are advertised in The Express Newspaper. Special Council meetings may be called at any time when urgent matters arise requiring a decision before the next scheduled Council meeting.

These forms will be collected and registered. The Mayor reserves the right to respond to public questions in writing. All names, questions and answers will appear in the public Minutes of a meeting.
Persons may also make submissions to Council on items which appear in the Council Agenda. Any persons wishing to make a submission should contact the Governance & Legal Department on 1300 367 700 to register their interest prior to the meetings. To ensure that the meeting operates effectively, persons wishing to make a submission are asked to register their interest prior to 1pm on the day of the Council meeting.

Equipment that is available for people who are hard of hearing
Latrobe City is committed to ensuring all members of the community have equal access to Council run facilities, meetings, services and events. This is reflected in the availability of the Phonic Ear Easy Listener Portable FM System and the Augmentation Hearing Loop that is installed in the Nambur Wariga meeting room at Latrobe City Corporate Headquarters Morwell.
The Hearing Loop and the Easy Listener Portable FM System will assist people who are hard of hearing to combat background noise, distance to sound, and/or reverberation that can interfere with clear speech understanding. This hearing augmentation device is suitable for hearing aids with the T switch. Both the Hearing Loop and the Easy Listener Portable System is available upon request through Latrobe City.
