Map of Latrobe City

Latrobe City is a thriving, diverse, multi-cultural region. It is located in the heart of Gippsland and combines the best of rural and urban living.

Latrobe City is located in the heart of Gippsland, its within the boundaries of the Braiakaulung Clan group of the Gunnai/kurnai people of Gippsland. Braiakaulung is one of the five major clan groups. The Braiakaulung occupied the watersheds of the Latrobe, Thompson and MacAlister Rivers, accessing the shores of Lake Wellington.

Latrobe City offers diverse lifestyle opportunities. Everything is within easy reach, from pristine beaches and alpine high country to the famous Gippsland lakes and lush temperate rainforests.

There are major retail and community centres providing a wide range of lifestyle options. And if you need to access the city the Latrobe is only a 90-minute drive east of Melbourne.

Latrobe City is a region of amazing contrasts, bounded by the towering Strzelecki Ranges to the south and the lofty Baw Baw plateau to the north. It is noted for its lush, natural beauty - mountain ranges, bushland and magnificent forests.
