2006/7 Takasago Assistant English Teacher (AET) Program

The primary aim of the AET program is to assist the City of Takasago with a Latrobe City graduate who can assist with the teaching of English in schools for a period of 12 months or more.

The AET is employed by the Takasago Board of Education to assist with classes taught by Japanese English teachers in junior high schools and to participate in kindergartens, elementary schools or other educational facilities with international exchange activities.

All travel and accommodation expenses and salaries are met by the City of Takasago.

Catherine Reid began her AET position in Takasago City in August 2006. She is loving her life in Takasago City and people of Takaasgo are loving her. Catherine has been actively participating in a variety of community activities and events as well as socialising with the local people.
