Community & Councillor Information Sessions

Community and Councillor Information Sessions are a trial project developed by Latrobe City Council to develop community participation in non-confidential community presentations to Council.

Latrobe City Council believes that community involvement in Councillor Information Sessions is an activity which will continue to build community confidence around Councils governing and decision making processes.

Format

The trial sessions will consist of four Community and Councillor Information Sessions. Presentations will be held:

7.00pm, 6 August 2009 at the Latrobe City Council, Headquarters, Morwell.
7.00pm, 3 September at the Traralgon Function Room, Traralgon.
7.00pm, 1 October at the Moe Town Hall, Moe.
7.00pm, 5 November at the Churchill Community Hub, Churchill.

Attending

All members of the community are welcome to attend the Community and Councillor Information Sessions. Members of the community are not required to RSVP.

Sessions will commence promptly at 7pm.

Opportunity to be involved

Making a Presentation

Community groups who may wish to make a presentation at these meetings are invited to make an application, using the Community and Councillor Information Session, Application Form.

All applications are welcome, however, those which align with or support Council’s Latrobe 2021: the Vision for Latrobe Valley, will be given priority.

Presentations are to be no longer than 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes allowed for question time at the conclusion of the presentation.
